Kobe Bryant

Yesterday Los Angeles experienced a loss so great and so devastating… The lost of our very own Kobe Bryant

Kobe was Iconic, A master of the game, A husband and a father. To hear that he was gone knocked the wind out of me. He was the man of the city and a legend of Laker history. He was so many things to so many people

Like a lot of Los Angeles natives, I grew up along side Kobe (We are close in age) and witness a lot of his historical games, and watch him on humanitarian efforts as well.

Kobe was on a helicopter with 7 passengers and the pilot traveling from Orange County to Thousand Oaks for a basketball camp. On the plane at the time of the accident was his daughter Gianna

Gianna , like her Dad was becoming one of the best female basketball players around. As he affectionately called her Mambacita, there were not many moments where you didn’t see the 2 of them together and to know that they died together is sad yet poetic.

While they alone were not the only people lost on this flight, there were 7 others that died as well and I want to take a moment and send prayers and love to their family and friend as well.

Sarah Chester , Payton Chester, Jon Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser and Ara Zobayan.

The beauty in being blessed with talent is rising above doubters to create a beautiful moment. Kobe Bryant lived every moment of his life and even in the end, he did all for his family. My heart breaks for his Wife, his Daughters, his Family and all of his fans.

May the Lord welcome you all to the gates of Heaven and keep you safely.

Mamba Out.

Name of your Business:

Loveys with Love

Year Started:

Why you Started:

Loveys With Love was started at the end of 2017 when I ordered a bouquet from a wood flower company. I loved their work and wanted to be able to put my own flair on it.I remember when I got married almost 9yrs ago, we went to the courthouse and one of the only things I have from that day was the bouquet my friend made for me. I loved the idea of having a super special customized keepsake from that day and wanted to offer that to others using these wood flowers I had come to love.

Services you Offer:

I make custom wedding decor including Bridal bouquets and boutonnières as well as wreaths, and matching home decor. From flowers as gifts to wood and canvas prints for wall decor to weddings, if you can put flowers on it or in it, we can do it. The flowers are made from a soft Balsa wood that makes them easy to  customize by dyeing them. The fact that they never die or fade is an added bonus and are sure to be treasured for years to come

Foodie Friday – Leah Chase

When I think about Creole Food… One of the first names to come to mind on a pioneer of this cuisine is Leah Chase

She fed presidents and Freedom Riders. She broke New Orleans’ segregation laws by seating black and white patrons together. And she helped mend the country’s divisions, one meal at a time. In her seven-decade culinary career, Leah Chase did far more than introduce thousands to Creole cuisine. Leah Chase: The Creole queen of New Orleans The chef and civil rights activist died Saturday, her family said. She was 96 years old. “Leah Chase, lovingly referred to as the Queen of Creole Cuisine, was the executive chef and co-owner of the historic and legendary Dooky Chase’s Restaurant,” her family said in a written statement. “Her daily joy was not simply cooking, but preparing meals to bring people together. One of her most prized contributions was advocating for the Civil Rights Movement through feeding those on the front lines of the struggle for human dignity. She saw her role and that of Dooky Chase’s Restaurant to serve as a vehicle for social change during a difficult time in our country’s history.”

I seen her on various Television Shows and each time she dropped knowledge and fed not only stomachs but souls…

May she make her way to heaven and cook up some great Creole Food for all above.
