Yesterday Los Angeles experienced a loss so great and so devastating… The lost of our very own Kobe Bryant
Kobe was Iconic, A master of the game, A husband and a father. To hear that he was gone knocked the wind out of me. He was the man of the city and a legend of Laker history. He was so many things to so many people
Like a lot of Los Angeles natives, I grew up along side Kobe (We are close in age) and witness a lot of his historical games, and watch him on humanitarian efforts as well.
Kobe was on a helicopter with 7 passengers and the pilot traveling from Orange County to Thousand Oaks for a basketball camp. On the plane at the time of the accident was his daughter Gianna
Gianna , like her Dad was becoming one of the best female basketball players around. As he affectionately called her Mambacita, there were not many moments where you didn’t see the 2 of them together and to know that they died together is sad yet poetic.
While they alone were not the only people lost on this flight, there were 7 others that died as well and I want to take a moment and send prayers and love to their family and friend as well.
Sarah Chester , Payton Chester, Jon Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser and Ara Zobayan.
The beauty in being blessed with talent is rising above doubters to create a beautiful moment. Kobe Bryant lived every moment of his life and even in the end, he did all for his family. My heart breaks for his Wife, his Daughters, his Family and all of his fans.
May the Lord welcome you all to the gates of Heaven and keep you safely.
Mamba Out.
